De vorm van het oor is over het algemeen goed. Daarom wordt deze afwijking vaak te laat opgemerkt. De ernst van de afstaande oren neemt vaak toe in de loop van de maanden. Uit onderzoek is gebleken dat de oor projectie van baby\u2019s onder de 7mm moet zijn. Gemeten vanaf het mastoid tot het midden van de helixrand. Over-projectie is significant als het meer dan 9mm betreft. Daarom is goed onderzoek van de oren bij baby\u2019s erg belangrijk om flaporen in een vroeg stadium te herkennen en dus te kunnen behandelen.<\/p>\n<h2>Voorkom een operatie op latere leeftijd<\/h2>\n<p>Door de oren van je baby bij de geboorte goed te (laten) onderzoeken, kun je een operatie op latere leeftijd voorkomen. We hebben een <a href=\"\/oorcorrectie-behandeling-baby\/\">projectometer<\/a> ontwikkeld om op een gemakkelijke manier te meten of een baby in aanmerking voor behandeling met EarWell.<\/p>\n<p>Met het EarWell systeem wordt de antihelix gevormd en ook de concha mastoid hoek verminderd. Bovendien is er bij een flapoor ook vaak sprake van een chonchal crus hetgeen ook weer kan bijdragen aan een overprojectie van het oor. In het begin was ik best nerveus \u2013 of het wel zou lukken maar vooral of mijn zoontje er last van zou hebben. Nadat ik Dr. Feijen had ontmoet was ik meteen gerustgesteld. Tijdens deze 2 weken konden we dr. Feijen ten aller tijden bereiken wanneer we vragen hadden. Na 2 weken werden de kapjes verwijderd en konden we het resultaat al goed zien.
