Helix deformities
A deformity in the baby’s helix is common. This concerns deformities in the outer rim of the ear only. This deformity can be caused by external pressure on the tiny ear in the womb, but it could also be the result of a mild abnormality in embryonic development. Here, the helical rim is not completely rounded, but displays a small dent or fold.
