Cryptotia is an ear deformity that is rare in the Western population. However, in the Asian population, this is the most common ear deformity. Here, the upper part of the ear’s cartilage is buried beneath the skin on the side of the head. This is caused by abnormal development of the muscle, and also prevents the ear from growing properly on the outside.
Treatment with the EarWell system elongates this muscle and allows the ear to develop normally.
